§ 2-1. Composition and election of council.

  • (a)

    The council shall be composed of a mayor elected by the voters of the city at large and five aldermen elected from single member districts.

    (b)

    Five single member districts are hereby established, which said districts shall be designated and numbered numerically and said districts and boundaries shall be as set forth in exhibit A attached to the ordinance from which this section is derived and made a part hereof. Any candidate desiring to run for the position of alderman in any general municipal election must designate the position on the city council for which he is qualified.
